  • Ewaka Foundation is founded in Uganda, with Jonas Byaruhanga as chairman
     

  • outreach programs are regularly conducted in slums in Kampala (i.e. workshops)

2014

  • ​our children’s home in Kampala is founded: 10 children and one housemother become the first Ewaka-family members

2015

  • the association EWAKA: Deutsche Kinder- und Jugendförderung für Uganda e.V. is founded, with Eva Döhr as chairwoman
     

  • the first two school workshops in Germany are organized and carried out
     

  • Ewaka receives support from the first two volunteers from ASC Göttingen
     
  • a big property is bought in Jinja

2016

  • the third and fourth school workshop is carried out in Berlin, Kassel, Göttingen, Jena and Freiburg
    ​

  • the Ewaka educational institution is built in Jinja
     

  • two new volunteers from ASC Göttingen arrive
     

  • the main building is finished, the move to the new children’s home in Jinja begins

2017

  • school workshops in Berlin, Kassel and Göttingen
     

  • four new volunteers from ASC Göttingen arrive
     

  • the children’s home is expanded and decorated, the computerand study room with a library is furnished, a chicken farm is built

2018

  • the kitchen is completed, a roofed dining area is built 
     

  • more sports and leisure facilities: a new volleyball and badminton court, a tree house and swings
     

  • ​‘school project weeks’ in Kassel, Göttingen, Wolfhagen, Cologne and on Sylt
